the painful thing about people's career...

the painful thing about people's career...

Hi, welcome…. well av got a guest blogger on mine today and she is going to be taking us thru. an interesting read…

Fisayo Agbeke Eko-Davies
Well, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine and he asked me to be the guest blogger on his prestigious blog,[this blog] Mogbe o [I am dead] what will I say, I am no motivational speaker/writer and he wants me to write about careers and life changing opportunities, hmm, Oluwa gba mi o [God help me], come to think of it:
·         I don’t have to be Bill Gates to talk about money nor do I have to be a priest to have a relationship with Christ.

One thing is constant, WE ALL WANNA MAKE MONEY AND THE QUESTION WE ALL SEEK TO ANSWER IS ‘HOW’? Deep question y’all we agree.

First up, saying everyone has got something to offer is stating the obvious, but just to reaffirm it, we all really have something to offer but very few among us understands, life is not a bed of roses(again, that is so cliché); I am just saying opportunities aint placed in our hands, it’s the puzzle of life we have to discover,.
Nothing is the way it is-
A  spoon in the hands of a caterer is worth millions of naira and in the hands of an ordinary person might just be a supper’s worth.

THE ULTIMATE TOOL TO CAREER BUILDING IS SELF DISCOVERY, and yes, it is not as easy as it sounds, in a world of lost identities, discovering oneself is like a treasure hunt in a haunted bush; only the strong survives.
My intention is far from painting gory details of the road to a successful career; to the contrary I dare say you can have the life you want long as you enjoy what you do.
I was told once “NO ONE MAKES MONEY OUTSIDE THEIR PASSION”,
I don’t need preach about the aptness of this saying but it is true, we get caught up in the madness of our times and enter the money chase killing our inner man when we could have through self discovery ‘’A happier life’’.

The society is not suppose to dictate to us how our lives should be, we have the power to make the society respect us and that power lies within, it is what we need to bring out for the world to see.
Cos of our upwardly mobile and microwave state [lol] I will not attempt to cover every aspect of career building so that we can quickly grasp this and save some time but I will like to HIGHLIGHT some key points, asides from DISCOVERING ONESELF:
These  other factors are equally important;
·         GREAT TIME MANAGEMENT,
·         ACQUISITION  OF  KNOWLEDGE  [we can never know enough]
·         SELF DETERMINATION,
·         FAITH  [this sounds odd but really, everything is premised on a believe]
·         THE RIGHT ATTITUDE: THERE IS A SAYING THAT ‘ATTITUDE IS A SMALL THING THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE’.
Need me say more?, I guess not...

N:B- This piece aint detailed , so you can pick books on personal development, interact with a mentor who is where you wanna be and start the journey to owning your life and do stay tuned to this blog [save the page or bookmark it] cos av got this feeling that it aint over yet…

Cheers.
